All About Me!

I'm just a regular girl... more or less anyway :) I'm from the beautiful Caribbean island of Trinidad (it's 11km northeast of Venezuela). I have 3 wonderful sisters who I love dearly, Kelli, Kim and Katherine. (pic: clockwise from top - Kim, Kelli, Katherine & Kris) We do everything together: shopping, clubbing and we even throw joint parties because we have a common group of friends. We love each other to pieces and wouldn't have it any other way! Our family moved to Canada in 1995 and I'm STILL getting used to the winters... all I have to say is that the lowest recorded temperature EVER in Trinidad was 17 degrees! So you know what I mean!

When I started school, I was surprised to find that there were about 15 Caribbean students in my school and they introduced me to the MUD. The MUD was created by Trinidadians who had met while at UW, they were in Computer Science obviously :) and it was based in Trinidad as well. One of the creators, Rei, worked at a local ISP so it was hosted there and advertised throughout the island. I used the MUD as my own personal chat line to communicate with friends in Trinidad and I met a lot of new friends on the MUD as well.

My current boyfriend, of 3 1/2 years, is one of the creators of the MUD, Rei! At first we were just friends, and my sisters and I adopted him and made him our "big brother". He was a confidante and a trusted friend through the good times and the bad and he even sent us little presents in the mail to cheer us up, although we'd never met. When we met in real life 9 months later, we just clicked :) If you're interested in more mushy stuff, check out my Rei & Reeny website.

I am addicted to Japanese animation or "anime" - in high school I used to go to those Ctrl-A meetings at UW and watch anime for about 7 hours straight :) I love swimming, only on the sea or at least in an outdoor pool, reading (although I don't have much time for it these days), writing short stories (well more like long stories or short books, but no time anymore!), shopping, latin dancing, and I just discovered that badminton can be really fun!
